Toasted meringue flower

Pinos de Gáldar (Gran Canaria) – August 23, 2010 This syrphid flitting around like a helicoptern in reconnaissance mission must think, like me, that this thistle flower is something like a cake of sugar and beaten egg. In my site: http://ift.tt/1cKKPW8 via 500px mmeida http://ift.tt/1DX69Sn

Rosemary Flowers

It is that time of year when flowers are growing everywhere, which is the perfect excuse to take out my macro lens and snap a few colorful photos in my garden. This particular rosemary flower did not come up as I expected. However, using overlays of wood textures, I was able to create this beautiful image. I am quite happy with the result and hope you enjoy it as well. As you may already know, rosemary is as tasty as it is beautiful. It has been used in Mediterranean cuisine for thousands of years. If you have the opportunity, try it on a focaccia, roast meat, or with any other recipe—it is a delicious spice. via 500px marcgc http://ift.tt/1Q4Ajsc
