Hood Up

A male Hooded Merganser swims right in front of me as I laid on the ground along the edge of the pond. I arrived a bit before sunrise to see this fella as well as about 10 other Hoodies on the pond so it was very enjoyable to watch them swim about and interact for almost an hour before this guy swam close to me for this photo. They kept me entertained all morning long. Taken at Palmyra Cove Nature Park in southern New Jersey. via 500px RayHennessy http://ift.tt/1NSnGhF

A Winter Wonderland in Spring

Coming back from a disappointing trip from the ocean to see the sunrise - totally overcast - the sky started clearing and I was greeted by this scene a few blocks from home. The ducks were nice enough to pose! :) via 500px kevinreynolds_4 http://ift.tt/1B0NL6i

Alone in a Corn Field

Hadley, Massachusetts OK, I wasn't alone. There were a few cows wandering around off in the distance. Another spot I've had my eye on for a while. I liked the lines leading off into the horizon but had to wait for a special sunrise and some heavy rains for some reflection. I have been spending quite a bit of time shooting an Hadley, MA, a place I have traveled through almost every day for the last decade and never considered it. A reminder that the magic light is all around us. Thanks for viewing !!! Happy Spring Equinox!!! http://ift.tt/1gTlY2q via 500px patrickzephyr http://ift.tt/1xJbzdq
